Travel With Me: Turkey

Hello beautiful and wonderful people, how is going with you?. Anyway, today's article is about my trips to Turkey yeeees TURKEYYYYYY.

Turkey is a lovely country which has amazing views, super delicious food and very hospitable people. My first trip was in September 2012, I was so scared because of different reasons:

> The language: all you hear in Turkey is Turkish (obviously) with a little bit of English and Arabic. So, don't be afraid like I was and trust me you can communicate with them.

> Getting lost: I got the chills because it was my first time to see Turkey and I was scared if I will get lost.

Anyway, so I will stop this bla bla bla and let's get started.

1- Hotel: I traveled to Istanbul six times and I stayed in four different hotels. So, personally, I love Bekdas Deluxe Hotel which is located in Mimar Kemalettin Mah. Derinkuyu Sok. 4, 34130 (It is very close to Istanbul University). You can check booking for details and prices and bare in your mind that the former change according to seasons.

2- Sights: Istanbul is one of the few great cities which are deservedly better known than their countries, it is the only city on the earth situated in two continents: Europe and Asia. If you are a fan of history and culture like me, I promise you will enjoy your holiday there. Anyway, let's startttttt:
> Topkapi Palace: the great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries, housing an exquisite collection of gems, jewellery, thrones, robes .......
- Admission: The palace 30TL, Harem 15TL and Hagia Irene 20TL.
> Hagia Sophia: the ancient basilica built by Constantine the great, the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architectural marvels of all time.
- Admission: 30TL.
> Sultan Ahmet Mosque: is the best interior designed mosque in Ottoman architecture with its 20.000 pieces Iznik tiles.
- Admission: free.
> Hippodrome: is the center of byzantine entertainment where 30.000 civilian was killed by order of queen with arrow rain in the inside of it.
- Admission: free.
> Grand Bazaar: is one of the largest and oldest covered market in the world with more than 60 streets and 4.000 shops. It is well known for its jewellery, carpet shops and ceramic plates.
- Admission: free.
> Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar): if you are a fan of spices; dried fruits; Turkish delights and more, this bazaar will be your best friend till the end of your trip.
- Admission: free.
> Dolmabhace Palace: was the first European-style palace built by Ottoman Sultans. This palace is interesting for its furniture and fittings. Ataturk lived the final of his life in the residental part of the palace and died there.
- Admission: 30TL.
> Basilica Cistern: it was constructed for Byzantine Emperor Justinian 1, during the Byzantine period the cistern would have stored water for use by the palace.
-Admission: 20TL.
> Galata Bridge: Galata Koprusu spans the Golden Horn, a naturally inlet and protected harbor in the Boshorus River where it meets the Sea of Marmara.
- Admission: free.
> Suleymaniye Mosque: is a 16th century structure built during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. It was designed by famed Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan and stands on Istanbul's 3rd hill.
-Admission: free.
> Istiklal Street (Independence Street): it is the home to cafes, restaurants, fashion stores, art galleries, cinemas, theatres, hotels, music stores and more.
- Admission: free.
> Little Hagia Sophia: it is thought that the church was designed by the same architects who designed the Hagia Sophia and that it was a kind of practice run for Hagia Sophia.
- Admission: free.
> Miniaturk: the attraction is to-scale miniature 3D recreation of famous landmarks from Istanbul and other Turkish cities. In addition, there is a Turkey-Istanbul 5D helicopter simulator; shopping center; restaurant-café; kid's playground, a ferry boat ride and more.
- Admission: 10TL.
> Princes' Islands: there are 9 islands with a different size, no car is permitted and transport is provided by horse-drawn carriages. The area is an awsome place for swimming and relaxing.

3-Food: Turkey diverse food culture draws on the location between east and west; the rich history of the Ottoman Empire brought cuisine from across the continent and the legacy left by the Sultan's royal kitchens. I have tried so many restaurants in Istanbul whether in Old city or New city and my favourite one is Sar Restaurant (Yeniceriler Cad. No: 47 Beyazit Istanbul); I love everything about this restaurant: the food, the stuff, the hospitality.... 'Halis abi herşey için teşekkürler'.

Makeup Bag for Beginners

      Hellooooo beautiful amazing and wonderful people, how is going with 2017 so far?. Anyway, a lot of you love makeup and want to figure out how and where to start. If you are ready to spent some money for must-have items keep reading this article.

1- Makeup Bag: I recommend you to buy bags or caboodles because they are good for storing or for travelling. My makeup bag is: Victoria Secret; I bought it from Istanbul and it cost me 50 Turkish Lira (3500da= 30€= 32$) and I'm totally in love with it.

2- Primer: in case you want your makeup to look stunning, you  must have a primer because it can minimize your pores and smooth your skin. If your skin is naturally flawless, you can skip this step. Personally, I don't use primers that much; I only use foundation or BB cream.

 3- Foundation: there are so many different foundations that everyone can find something which suits their skin type and shade.  If you can buy foundation from high brands, well there are different brands such as: Mac, Makeup For Ever, Urban Decay but if want to buy something good and not that expensive : Maybelline and L'oreal will make you happy. 

4- Concealer: if you are using face makeup for the first time, a concealer is a must because: a) concealers are more pigmented than foundation, b) concealers can cover a lot of things like dark circles... . For a beginner, I suggest you Maybelline Instant Anti-Age which help you to awaken the under eyes and delete any blemishes from the skin.

5- Blush/ Bronzer and Highlighter : these three products will help you to add healthy glow to your face: a) blush adds life to your skin; b) bronzer allows you to fake that sun has kissed your skin all year round; c) highlighter give lit-from-within glow. I recommend to use MISS COP Kit Contouring palette (800 da= 7$= 6,88€).

6- Mascara: if you could only buy one product, mascara should be it. It is amazing what long and full lashes can do for your face. My favourite mascara is and will be always Maybelline.

7- Eyeshadow Palette: neutral eyeshadows are the most basic and essential thing for any makeup beginner's kit. a NYC Quatro Eyeshadow is the perfect way to start experiencing eyeshadows.

8- Lipsticks: no kit is complete without lipsticks, for beginners I suggest you to buy Nude and Red lipsticks which are suitable for all shades. You can perchuase your lipstick from drugstore (Maybelline, Flormar, Golden Rose, Essence....) or from high brands (Mac, Channel, YSL, Urban Decay....).

9- Lip balms: for keeping your lips smooth and healthy, especially during those harsh winter months all you need is a good natural lip balm.

10- Brushes: in order to apply your makeup properly, you will need to use the right tools.

11- Q-tips: these are great for removing or touching-up your makeup.

13. Have you ever been out of the country, if so how many times? I have been out of the country a lot (Turkey for 6 times and Tunisia for about million time lol).

14. Do you speak other language? Yes, I speak Arabic, English and French. Now, I'm learning Turkish.

16. What is your favorite shop? I don't have a specific shop that I love the most.

17. Favorite restaurant? My favorite is local and it is a fast food. The food there is phenomenal.

18. When was the last time you cried? Ten days ago, I was very emotional when my husband told me that he went to my father's tomb which is far from where I live (about 700km).

19. Favorite blog? I have a lot of favorite blogs, so I'm not just going to mention one.

20. Favorite movie? I have two favorite movies which are: 10 Things I Hate about You, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

21. Favorite TV show? My fav TV show is Kara Sevda.

My Nude Lipsticks and Lip Liners

Hello my beauties, how you doing?. Well, today I figure out to share with you my nude lipsticks and lip liners, i.e.,  what I love and hate about them. Anyway, let's get started :))

Lipsticks

1- Golden Rose Velvet Matte N 27:

> Price: 350 da= 3€= 3,20$.

> Packaging: I really like it, I find it somehow classy.

> I absolutely love this lipstick because:

a) It suits very well.

b) It lasts for about 4-6 hours and I think it is a good thing for a drug store brand.

c) It smells amaaaaziiiiing.

2- Flormar Deluxe Cashmere Lipstick Stylo DC28 Absolute Nude:

> Price: 650 da= 5,53€= 5,94$.

> Packaging: it looks so classy and fancy.

> I have different views about this lipstick:

a) The color looks amazing and it suits me very well.

b) It doesn't stay that much (2-4 hours).

c) It leaves my lips so dry and chapped.

3- Revlon 800:

> Price: I don't have any idea about its price because I got it as a gift.

> Packaging: I find beautiful and you can carry it even in your pocket.

> I really enjoy wearing this lipstick because it gives me that natural and glowy look. Also, I apply it after the Flormar lipstick one.

Lip liners

1- Golden Rose Dream Lips Lipliner 501:

> Price: I'm sorry I forgot its price, all I remember I buy it from Istanbul/ Turkey (Forum Istanbul Mall).

> Packaging: I really like Golden Rose packaging, their products always look pretty and classy.

> I absolutely love this lipliner because:

a) It gives a natural look for my lips.

b) It gives a perfect lip shape.

c) It dries quickly and lasts about the whole day.

2- Bourjois Lèvres Contour Beige Noisette 30:

> Price: 300da= 2,74$= 2,56€.

> Packaging: Usually I find the Bourjois products look beautiful but this one looks definitely ugly lol.

> I'm not a fan of this lip liner, I think I only wore it for 2 or 3 times because:

a) I hate the texture because it takes time to dry and it is not long-wearing.

b) It gives a yellow shade for my lips.

c) It leaves my lips dry and chapped.

My cocooning Routine

         Hello cupcakes, how you are you? How is it going with snow?. Anyway, today's article is about my cocooning routine; what I do to have a nice skin?. After shower or taking bath, I use some products that hydrate and repair my skin and which are:

- Corine de Farme Body Lotion: the texture of this baby lotion is lightweight and easy to apply and quickly absorbed into my skin. It doesn’t leave greasy residue. This lotion makes my skin soft and what I love most from this product is its natural ingredients. Overall, I love it!

-Armaf Body Spray: what I love about this spray is its fragrance which is: jasmine and rose dressed in citrusy peach combined with enthralling base notes of soft amber and musk. If you are found of  oriental fragrances, this spray will definitely suit you.

- Nuxe Hand and Nail Cream: I haven't used any of Nuxe products but this one is amazing. It smells lovely, lasts well and does my hands a lot of good. Also, it moistures my hands for hours even after washing, I still feel them moisturised. For a fist try of Nuxe products, I'm impressed and I will definitely buy another stuff.

- Rituals Lipbalm: I freaking love this product because a) it nourishes my lips b) it protects them in all weather conditions. Well, I do recommend you to try it out but unfortunately I don't know if this brand is available here in Algeria or not; I got it as a gift with other products so all I know Ritual is a Dutch brand.

Tops and Flops (2016 Edition)

Hello my beauties, how is 2017 so far? how is going?. Anyway, 2016 was amazing for me (there are some downs lol) I had to meet and talk to amazing people, read more books, do some new things...

My Personal Life

- I finished my studying at university and I got my Master Degree, thank you God for this wonderful experience.

- I got married but only at the city hall and I'm preparing for my wedding (summer of 2017 YAAAAAY MEEEE). 

- I met and talked to new friends and people whom I really love and care about. However, some of my friends  (I thought they were) talked behind my back and did some mean things to me. 

- I taught for a month in a middle school, it was an amazing experience: meeting new people, teaching kids (by the way sometimes they teach me new stuff lol) and taking care of them.

- Finally, I got to create a blog to share with you everything I do and love. I'm so grateful that I had amazing followers in my life, thank you so much for supporting and believing in me. 

Beauty 

💖Tops💖

- My best top of 2016 is The Gliss range which has a formula of 3x liquid keratin (in case you want to buy it, the bottle is black and gold). I said before and I will repeat it again (lol), I died my hair and it got damaged so I found this masterpiece which enhanced suppleness and shine, made my hair manageable and detangled with its Liquid Keratin ingredients.

- L'oreal Infallible Stay Fresh Foundation 24H: I love this foundation because: a) it matches with my tone, b) it blends very easily and does not leave any white cast, c) it has SPF 18. So, my ladies I recommend you to give it a try and believe me you'll will love it.

- Maybelline Define and Volume Mascara: if you have been cursed with short eyelashes (as me), you will struggle to find the right mascara and these are the reasons why I love it:

> It is a waterproof mascara.

> It separates my eyelashes very well.

> It gives a perfect volume which I have been looking for since I started wearing makeup.

> Last but not least, for those who are looking for thickness and clump-free coverage, this mascara is for you.

💔Flops💔

- Flormar Color Palette Eye Shadow (90): I really love Flormar products but this one OMG was so terrible. The colors are shimmery with a white matte eyeshadow, when you see it the colors  look amazingly beautiful but when you try it the pigmentation is like HELL!!!!. So, I do not recommend to buy it.

- Another flop from Flormar is Waterproof White Eyeliner: I love watching makeup artist tutorials on youtube such as: Carli Bybel, Jaclyn Hill, Lauren Curtis ... because I get inspired from their unique concept and I try copy what they do. So, one day I decided to buy a white eyeliner to put it my inner corner in order to wide my eyes, give that shimmery look and blablabla. I found this one and I said to myself 'Rania give it a try', and I wish I didn't buy because a) it gives that chalk look b) you can't blend it c) have fun when you want to remove it.

- The last flop Denivit Teeth Bleaching: it supposed to whiten and protect your teeth for 12h but that was a BIG lie. This toothpaste did not do anything special for my teeth, so I do not recommend you to purchase it.

Serial, Movies and Music

- My best series for this year is Kara Sevda which is in Turkish. I really love the plot, actors, acting EVERYYYYTHING, go and watch it.

- My favorite movie for this year is: The Duff (I know it's a 2015 movie but I knew about till 2016 so YEAHH).

- I'm a big English music fan and K-pop (FIGHTING), this year was amazing for the music industry so here are my favs:

> Bruno Mars -24k Magic.

> Hailee Steinfeld, Grey - Starving ft. Zedd.

> Ariana Grande - Side To Side ft. Nicki Minaj.

> Selena Gomez - Kill Em With Kindness.

> GOT7 “Fly”.

> GOT7 "Hard Carry(하드캐리)".

> K.A.R.D - Oh NaNa.

My Resolutions for 2017

       Helloooo beautiful people, happy new year I wish you all the best and success in your life, I hope you had spend your weekend with joy and happiness. Well, today I decided to write you my 2017 resolutions. So, let's start this out:

1- Appreciate more, stop procrastinating and start enjoy little things  that I have.

2- Become more confident about myself, my own abilities and capacities to get what I want.

3- Spend more time with the people whom I love (my husband, my family, my friends and you of course 😉).

4- Learn a new language as it is said "Learning another language is not only learning different words for the same things, but learning another way to think about things' Flora Lewis.

5- Travel and spend more time in nature.

      To conclude, I always tell to myself ' every year is a blank journal to fill it', so fill it well and I hope you use the list above for inspiration. Live your best life and stay tuned for more.
