How to Take Care of your Skin: Combination Skin

Hello my beautiful people, how is going with you? How is 2018 so far?. Honestly, 2018 is so good el hamdoulilah for everything. Anyway, a lot of you messaged me on Instagram to complete the " How to Take Care of your Skin" series, well let's do it and today's type of skin is: the combination one.

What is a combination skin?

Combination skin is neither dry nor oily, it is a mixture of both. If you have a Combination skin type you will notice more that the oily part is the T zone (forehead, nose and sometimes the chin area). The other parts would be normal or dry ( it varies from person to person).

What causes combination skin?

There are two main reasons for a combination skin: hormones and hereditary.

How to take care of my skin?

- The first step is to use a gentle cleanser. It can be a lotion-based or gel-textured cleanser. The goal of use it is to remove impurities, and makeup without leaving skin feeling tight or dry or greasy. 

- Apply a hydrating toner filled with a healthy amount of skin-replenishing ingredients and antioxidants. A  toner really can help nourish dry skin and minimize oiliness at the same time, and keep this in your mind girls that it won’t make the dry areas drier or the oily areas oilier.

- Use a gentle and non-abrasive exfoliant (this step is optional). A exfoliant helps the skin to shed dead skin, unclogs pores, lessens oily skin, and at the same time gently smooths dry skin and revives a healthy glow. 

- Use a nighttime moisturizer with a gel, serum, or even a liquid texture all over your face. This step is very important to help calm skin, lessen excess oil on skin’s surface and im­prove dry areas.

If you are looking for high brand foundation, you can purchase the MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, Bare Minerals Matte Foundation, Giorgio Armani Power Fabric Foundation. If you are looking for drug store foundation: Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation, Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation, Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation.
